The Hostel

Scottys Mission Beach YHA is not a purely working hostel, the majority of people staying are holiday makers. So when you get home from work we expect  you to shower, change you clothes and become a normal backpacker again. All of our rooms are air conditioned and come with free wifi and linen. The best part is the hostel is only 50 meters from 14 km of untouched beach. The hostel is your home for three months, you are required to treat it as you would any other home. We do allow you to have a few drinks though the hostel is not a party hostel, we expect you to respect your home and the manager. Bad behaviour and disrespect will not be tolerated, if you are a repeat offender you will be asked to leave and you will loose your job.

Dorm room

The majority of our farm workers stay in dorm accomodation, these are mixed dorms with shared bathroom facilities. 

Private room

We have a couple of private rooms available to farm workers though they are very limited and come in a first come first served basis. These are more expensive than the standard accomodation price and use the same shared bathroom facilities. 

Living Room

Large open plan living room with plenty of couches and bean bags for you to chill out on. Also have satellite TV so you can watch all the sport and movies you want.  

Kitchen and Dining  area

Our kitchen is very well equiped with all the utensils you could possibly need along with 16 cook tops, two large fridges for your food and plenty of dry storage.

Huge 20m pool for you to be able to chill out around and cool off after a hot days work.
